Step 1: Upload a document file
Upload a JPEG or PNG image up to 7 MB, or a PDF up to 10 MB and 10 pages. Clear images and readable PDFs produce better explanations.
How it works
Upload a document image or PDF, confirm it looks right, and get a plain-language breakdown with the context kept close to the details.
DocPlainly keeps the flow small on purpose: choose an image or PDF, review it, then read a structured explanation that separates summary, details, dates, amounts, and original context.

The AI returns a structured breakdown: a plain-language summary, important details, dates, amounts, and context for the wording. Dense language is rewritten in everyday terms.
After the initial explanation, you can ask specific questions about any section. You might ask what changed, which date is referenced, or what a phrase is pointing back to.
Any document with dense wording, fine print, or language that seems designed to be skipped. The goal is explanation, not advice.
Service changes, settings updates, and response dates explained in everyday wording.
Totals, due dates, previous balances, and new charges separated into clear pieces.
Cancellation steps, billing cycles, and renewal wording made easier to scan.
Coverage windows, exclusions, and return steps summarized before you need them.
Appointment windows, reference numbers, response dates, and important details pulled forward.
Dense sections, definitions, and conditions turned into simpler explanations.
Move-out notices, fee language, renewal dates, and required response windows made easier to compare.
Deadlines, signatures, required documents, and next steps pulled into a cleaner structure.
Images and PDFs are sent to OpenAI to generate your explanation and are not stored by DocPlainly after the request completes. Saving explanations is optional. Free accounts can keep a small local history on one device, and paid plans add more saved history plus encrypted cloud history. AI can make mistakes, so compare important details with the original document before acting.
